                      Basic Knowledge of Bearing

The knowledge of mechanism is complex, and many small parts will have a great function and a lot of classification. For example, bearings. For people contacting machinery usually, the role of bearings is not to be underestimated. But for those who do not understand the bearings, the knowledge and function of bearings, is still confusing. In the following, I will introduce you the basic knowledge of bearing.

What is bearing

The bearing is a small part comparing with a larger machine, but it plays a decisive role.

And it is mainly used in the mechanical transmission process to reduce the friction coefficient of the load components. Bearings can be used to reduce the coefficient of friction during power transmission and maintain the centering of the shaft as other parts move relative to each other on the shaft. According to the different friction properties of moving parts, the bearings can be divided into rolling bearings and sliding bearings.

Types of Bearing

According to the function, design, and role of bearings, the types of bearings generally include: needle roller bearings, self-aligning ball bearings, deep groove ball bearings, spherical roller bearings, thrust bearings, with bearings, bearings, combination Bearings, mill bearings and so on. Different bearings have different functions, and play significant roles in different machinery and equipment.

Bearing code

A complete bearing code is composed of the basic code plus one or more supplementary codes. The basic code is used to indicate the type of bearing, bearing the basic design, bearing dimensions. Supplementary code refers to the bearing components, and the basic design has a different structure or other characteristics of the variant.
